Jacqueline Evans

"The Jacqueline Evans story began in 1999 when Jacqueline first created customised skin care for a select group of clients when she worked as a naturopath in the United Kingdom. Since then, years of meticulous research have gone into product formulations. Products are based on the function of the ingredients and only the purest and highest grade natural and organic ingredients are used, including cold pressed oils, the best essential oils and beneficial levels of vitamins, minerals and herbals resulting in some of the most effective products in the world.

The amber glass used for all the packaging not only preserves the integrity of the contents better, it compliments the restrained typography and bold colour differentiation of the labels. The honesty and quality of this product is clearly communicated through a sense of nostalgia-induced trust. They just happen to look great all together on your bathroom shelf too!"

Silvana Coffee

"Silvana takes one Italian family’s coffee-making heritage, know-how and expertise and pours it all into a little cup of perfection. They source only the finest quality arabica beans and roast them fresh daily, as they have done for the past seventy years. It’s why baristas all over Australia demand Silvana.

The challenge was to create fresh new packaging without sacrificing any of Silvana’s provenance. And to make the most of the shelf space alongside coffee machines in cafés – Bomba recognises a ready-made billboard opportunity when it sees one.

Perfect for a splash of look-at-me colour, and the unique combination of high gloss and matt finishes – a first in coffee pouch packaging."

Seriously Pink

"Seriously Pink is the first pink coloured liqueur to be made in Australia. Like an artist mixing paint, for the winemaker, achieving the right colour was just as important as the end result. Its first release completely sold out in just one month. "

Byo

"The aim was to create a unique gift to give our clients at Christmas and to act as a new business introduction. It needed to remind them of who we are and the long hours that we put into our work. It needed to feature all of our staff, reflect our creativity and sense of humor. The print run was 5000 labels.

We obtained high quality cleanskin wines and created our own labels. Each label was based on one staff member. It included a number of facial features and the client is encouraged to BYO - Build Their Own. The wine and the label is the perfect substitute for when the real thing cannot be there."

Landmine Ketchup

"Using a ketchup sachet, we demonstrated the horrific nature of living in a land mine affected country and how much a part of everyday life that horror is. The idea is simple: as you tear open the sachet you also rip through the child's leg and the ketchup inside pours out like blood."

Strange little guy on a bottle: Nelson

Melbourne-based marketing communications agency Taboo Group in conjunction with creative Sydney-based duo Webuyyourkids (Sonny Day & Biddy Maroney) last year launched the new great beer called Nelson in Australia.

Here is a story about the exciting rebrand:
“It’s been a long time coming, but the Trial Brew, also known as Batch #15, has finally been dubbed and officially launched. Trial Brew began its life in a plain bottle appearing as a silent sponsor of music, fashion, and art events during the latter months of 2008. At these events, as well as through a website and special information postcard, we gathered feedback from creative types (approximately 1,000 of them) regarding the look, taste, and possible names for the beer. This information was then collated in a neatly labelled ring binder and sent to our brewers and various other important people. After analysing this information the educated types made a few minor changes to Trial Brew, resulting in the Nelson we see today.

Evo Packaging

Evo is a hair care brand that has its own unique personality and culture, in stark contrast to an industry filled with ‘more of the same’ type approaches. Evo is cheeky, humorous and slightly twisted. The copywriting developed by David Kalusy and Mash seemed to sum up the brand personality so well that we decided to use this as the basis for the packaging, keeping it raw simple and letting the copy do all the talking.

The Evo packaging provided Mash with a Distinction Award at the 2008 AGDA National Biennial Awards.
