Northern Spring Water

"This is a project that began as a joke with my parents while having a drink on a boat on the lake on a hot summer evening. I told them that I wanted to someday/very soon own my own company and do all the design and branding for it. They decided as a joke that I should start a spring water company taken from the cabin. I said actually... That's not a bad idea. The rest remains to be accomplished beyond the branding. Hopefully in a few more weeks I will show the fam. Haha! Things are coming along."

New Pepsi Raw

"Pepsi Raw is PepsiCo's biggest innovation for 20 years. No pressure, then... in order to appeal to an adult, sophisticated, urban market interested in a premium and more natural product, we produced a pared-back, elemental identity for 'the naked cola'."

Nature's Paper

"In Tetrea Pak packaging portfolio there are 9 different product families with more than 100 different sizes. The scope was to highlight the different possibilities and forces in the product families. Paper in all its forms has been photographed; confett, plated paper, paper bundles, unwrinkled paper, gold paper, fleas and paper shreds everything to create an inspired packaging portfolio for Tetra pak world wide."

Pome Green Tea

"DDC Creative Lab agency designed bottle shape and visual solution for a new product of BevMarketing Group Inc – the cold green tea containing pomegranate juice PomeGreen Tea.

The task of the agency was to create a package design, emphasizing naturalness, authenticity and individuality of the product, with reference to the traditional Eastern style.

The agency developed a low bottle, covered with shrink wrap and visual solution in fresh and emotional oriental style. Key design elements include painting, stylized traditional Chinese watercolor, juicy colors, folk motifs and Chinese calligraphy.

The work has entered a short-list of Identity: Best of the Best 2010 in the "Packaging Design" category."

Salve Water

"I will not spend the money for myself. I will rather spend it in special business on a no-profit-no-loss policy." – Muhammad Yunus

The quote from Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Prize laureate and the developer of the term "social business", summarizes well the process which guided the concept behind Salve ("Save" in portuguese), a product conceived and branded by À La Carte Design and developed in joint with Acqua Incorp.

We're living in an era in which philanthropy, eco-consciousness and well-being are increasingly present in each aspect of our daily lives. And the "Generation G" – G for "generosity" –, as pointed out by Trendwatching website, moves and is moved by this urge in doing the good, not only for the self, but for everyone else.
And is precisely in this desire to do the good that "Salve" makes a call, turning the simple act of buying a bottle of water into a collaborative movement that helps to transform lives.

The identity follows  this concept, of collectiveness, compounded by a mosaic of icons representing positive attitudes which, albeit small, form a greater picture; the importance of small acts that realize great things together.

And to kick off this project, Instituto Criar will be the first institution to be benefitted through the "Salve" water, with your donation. Take an action, take "Salve".

Wer

Great packaging concept from Alexandre Michaud who is a student of Graphic Design professor Sylvain Allard.

"The simplistic thinking in eco-packaging, would suggest that all it needs is to take a recycled Kraft cardboard and the job is done. Unfortunately, it's much more complicated than that and demonizing plastic over paper is another non-sense. In fact, there are as many solutions as there are different packages and each one should be developed taking into account production methods, materials, transportation and many other factors that ultimately determine the true lifecycle of the product.

However, the reduction approach remains the most easily measurable element of ecodesign. Indeed, by reducing the amount of material, it reduces the weight of the interventions in upstream and downstream production because there will be less material to produce, to collect and to recycle.

Recently, I asked my students to develop a package that consisted of grouping two products in an approach inspired by the 3Rs, Alexandre Michaud has developed this double pocket for a gel and body moisturizer for man. The word Wer means Man in Old English. I think it’s a very nice concept; what do you think?"

New Isostar

"The new packaging design for Isostar products created by Cartoon Design in 2009 had for its main objective greater shelf impact while preserving its expertise and functionality that targeted regular sportsmen.

The specific consumer benefits  “before/during/after sport” led the agency to graphically differentiate each sub-range for an instant understanding of the concept.

Cartoon Design is a french group, specializing in Packaging, based in Toulouse, Paris and Lyon."
